Tauqeer Hussain Updated by Tauqeer Hussain

May Release

The May Release was aimed at providing key fixes for issues which have been highlighted by customers and internal stakeholders. As well as a range of T3 issues which have been prioritised.

Compact mode improvements.

This is a new enhancement from the MDS library, aimed at compressing input fields and assets on a page in more condensed manner for higher visibility for data heavy users.

It reduces the size of the input field, icons and header as well as the padding between each field to allow for better use of the white space for users who would prefer a condensed style.

The input field size reduces by 8 pixels (px). from 40px to 32px. The padding between the fields also reduces by 8px, from 16px to 8px, maintaining accessibility standards in viewing the font size.

Current:

Compact Mode Enabled:

MEDA Screen: Year Selection

Following feedback from one our Beta customers, we have changed the default selection from ‘Last Year’ to ‘This Year’ as a primary selection.

This is a more relevant selection for data heavy users.

Keyboard Tabbing Improvements

Download

Users can now effectively tab using the keyboard for navigation through the download tab to select through various tabs.

The download function can also now be quickly accessed through entering ‘Ctrl+D’ on the keyboard.

Search Filter

Users can open the ‘Search’ tab by entering ‘Ctrl+F’. Once opened, the tab key can navigate users through the functionality.

MEC4: Tree View Enhancements

The menu view on MEC4 is now consistently utilising one card, with appropriate actions in a drop-down menu.

Users can also re-arrange child items via drag and dropping child elements into available parent structures.

Clicking the appropriate actions which relate to Parent/Child elements using the kebab menu which is a familiar part of the existing User experience.

Freezing horizontal tabs

The horizontal tabs are currently presented in various parts of the Financials application, where there are multiple data grids or inputs on one screen.

Upon zooming in to the screen and scrolling down, the horizontal tabs are now frozen, similarly to the vertical tabs which allow the user to scroll through the screen whilst accessing the primary tabs and actions.
